MBT Curriculum

The medical biotechnology program curriculum is designed to allow schedule flexibility to meet the needs of a wide range of students.

Course Duration
While the program is designed for completion in two years, students may decide to take a fast-track option and complete the required courses in one-and-a-half years. The maximum lapsed time allowed for degree completion is five years.

Course Organization
In the first year of the program, students will take core courses in subjects such as biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, physiology, bioethics and statistics. The second year will include more theoretical and practical training in a selection of techniques and processes common to biotechnology research. A student-driven, on-site project, or an externship with one of our affiliated industrial partners, will conclude the experience, giving each student experience in planning, budgeting, marketing and execution of research projects.
