Wendy Schultz, business manager for the department of biomedical sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, received the WOW award during a surprise presentation. The award was developed in 2005 by the Alumni Relations Council at UIC to recognize individuals who provide outstanding service.
Schultz was nominated by the department of biomedical sciences and Health System Research to recognize her substantial effort to go well beyond her call of duties to help the College, the departments, faculty, staff and students. She helps the department of biomedical sciences with the Master of Science program and helps students with the registrar function in addition to her assigned duties as business manager for the department and the program. Schultz also volunteers her time helping Health System Research with their contracts, accounts receivable and invoices. In addition, she serves on various committees within the college.
