Research Support Services

Research Support Services provides support to the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford faculty, students and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to ensure a link of communication and instruction on the regulatory requirements for all human subject research.

• Resources for educational training on conducting human subject research
• Advice on the required documents that need to be submitted to the IRB
• Pre-submission reviews of all documents prior to submissions on IRB Net (online submission Web site)
• Ninety, 60 and 30 day notices of expiration of IRB approval to the primary investigator (PI)
• Communication between the primary investigator and IRB
• Announcements concerning resources available through the Vice Chancellor of Research at UIC
• A resource on all policy and procedural changes that may occur
