Rockford, IL - The College of Medicine is pleased to announce that Frank J. Nicolosi, MD, JD, has joined with Atisak Sapying, MD, David Pocock, MBBS, MRCP, Paul Reith, MD, and Nurse Practitioner Gail Brick to provide university level care for patients our Belvidere clinic.
Nicolosi is an experienced physician who enjoys all aspects of family medicine, and takes a special interest in hypertension and preventive medicine. He volunteered for Hurricane Katrina through the Department of Health and Human Services and served on a South Africa medical missionary trip through the Circle of Love Foundation.
After his residency at Southern Illinois University, Nicolosi spent 10 years in private practice at Rockford Clinic/Rockford Health System. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois/Urbana and his medical degree from the University Studies of Bologna in Italy. He also has a law degree, which he earned at the University of Iowa. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, and is board certified by both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine. He is a member of the Winnebago County Medical Society.
