Biographical Info

Dr. Falsetti is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a PhD in clinical psychology. She completed an internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also served as faculty for nine years and served as the director of training for the postdoctoral fellowship program and the director of clinical operations at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center. She has won numerous awards for medical student, intern, and residency teaching and has been a National Institute of Mental Health grant recipient. She maintains an active clinical practice and specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, the psychological impact of chronic health problems, and the interplay of physical health and behavioral sciences.

Additional Appointments: Assistant Dean of Research, Associate Head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Director of Behavioral Sciences, Family Medicine Residency Program

Clinical Interests: Cognitive behavioral treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders and mood disorders, health coaching, and behavioral medicine.
Research Interests: Treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, the influence of culture on doctor patient communication and the impact of wellness interventions.
