Biographical Info

Prostate Cancer Research, Functional Genomics and Proteomics

Dr. Gnanasekar’s research focus includes:
1) Chemoprevention of prostate cancer
2) Gene therapy for prostate cancer
Dr. Gnanasekar’s laboratory investigates therapeutic potential of several plant products and their derivatives.
He is also interested in screening specific genes that are selectively up regulated in human prostate cancer cells and evaluate the effects of knocking down these genes as an approach to treat prostate cancer.
