Do you have a talent in painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, pottery, crafting, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, etc.? You are invited you to share your talents during this arts and crafts exhibition week. The Fun Committee is hosting this event and invites any UIC Rockford faculty, staff or student artist with any background or discipline to submit their work for consideration.
Submissions may include, but are not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art, crochet and knitting and should fit into a space no bigger than two feet by three feet. Each artist is responsible for setting up and tearing down their display and the University is not responsible for any damage or loss that may occur to any displayed item. If you need a table, stand or board for your artwork or your item needs to be locked up, please notify Faith Frana who will assist you in making the necessary arrangements. Set-up will take place on Monday, February 9, 2026, and the teardown will occur on Friday, February 13, 2026. The deadline to submit items is Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The exhibition will run Monday, February, 9 through Friday, February 13, 2026, to show support for all the artistic talent of UIC Rockford staff & faculty. Displays will be set up in the Commons to enjoy.
The annual Hot Cocoa Bar will take place in conjunction to encourage all UIC Rockford faculty, students and staff to come by and view the displayed arts and crafts. This event will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
