DESCRIPTION:The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (UICOMR) Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology presents Training Resources for Understanding Trauma and Healing (TRUTH) Seminar 2026.    UICOMR faculty, residents, fellows and students and UIC College of Nursing Rockford faculty and staff along with other healthcare professionals are invited to this day seminar. Breakfast and lunch provided to those attending in-person.    Schedule:    8:30-9 a.m.: Registration and coffee service  9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Presentations  12-1 p.m.: Lunch &amp; Networking  1-3 p.m.: Presentations    LEARNING OBJECTIVES:    After completion of the activity, participants should be able to:     	Describe the cycle of violence and trauma-coerced attachment   	Distinguish between and describe different forms of family-related abuse   	Identify and describe the core principles of trauma-informed advocacy.    Continuing Education Credits Available:    The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
