Class of 2026 Gold Humanism Honor Society inductees announced
Eleven third-year University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford students were selected as part of the next Gold Humanism Honor Society inductees.
They are Sopuluchukwu Anidobu, Laura Berger, Blaine Calloni, Ashely Donald, Shruthi Mekala, April Oertle, Claire Sagartz, Megan Saltsgaver, Bella Swan, Janay Taylor and Rafael Torres.
The GHHS recognizes students, residents and faculty who are exemplars of compassionate patient care and who serve as role models, mentors and leaders in medicine. GHHS members are peer-nominated and are the ones that others say they want taking care of their own family.
This year’s Gold Humanism Honor Society induction will take place during the annual White Coat Ceremony, happening Friday, Aug. 15, 2025.
