Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program Announces Chief Residents Heading link
Dr. Sallini Kalachandran
Sallini Kalachandran, MD, and Yahiya Syed, MD, were named co-chief residents for the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program.
Both in their third and final year of the residency program, Dr. Kalachandran and Dr. Syed were nominated by their peers to take on the additional teaching and administrative responsibilities related to being chief resident.
The Family Medicine Residency Program in Rockford currently has 21 resident physicians who work with faculty preceptors at the UI Health Mile Square Health Center – L.P. Johnson Rockford and SwedishAmerican Hospital to provide a full range of family medicine services.
