Purpose: To improve the effectiveness of clinical teaching

Target Audience: UICOMR faculty members and volunteers who teach medical students, residents, fellows, pharmacy students and other health care professionals.

Learning Objectives:

After completion of the activity, participants should be able to

  1. Describe the current state of artificial intelligence (AI) and its practical applications in contemporary medical practice.
  2. Evaluate the potential benefits and limitations of AI-driven tools in enhancing clinical decision-making, patient care, and healthcare efficiency within the next 3-5 years.
  3. Identify key ethical considerations and potential challenges associated with the integration of AI into medical practice, including data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the evolving physician-patient relationship.
