Students, staff, faculty and the community are invited to hear some health tips and then take a walk along the recreation path at the Roland Olson Forest Preserve located at 9669 Atwood Rd, Roscoe, IL 61073. Meet at front parking lot.
One and a half (1.5) mile walk: Mowed trails through restored prairie, woods, and remnant pine plantation. Flat, easy walking. Leashed dogs welcome.
Roland Olson’s 127-acres was once a polo complex. Favorite spot for hiking, picnicking & horseback riding. Hikers and equestrians find a variety of landscapes to explore in Olson’s restored prairie, upland woods, and remnant pine plantation.
