The campus community celebrated National Rural Health Day with an event on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024. It was a day to recognize and celebrate the important work being done to improve health outcomes for rural populations.
Michelle Rathman Batschke, founder of Impact! Communications, Inc., and host of The Rural Impact™ Podcast, served as the keynote speaker. She is a leader in health care strategy and communications, specializing in critical access and rural health systems, hospitals, clinics and provider practices.
Awards were presented to:
- Wabash Hospital, Rural Health Hero Training Site Award
- Ada Bair, Rural Health Hero Award
- Lincoln Johnson, RMED Rural Health Alumni Award
- Darlene Johnson, Rural Health Health Hero Award (Posthumous)
