COM & Brovember start gift fund

Brovember, Inc. and the College of Medicine at Rockford to Establish Local Prostate Cancer Research Funds
Brovember, Inc. and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford will execute documentation to establish gift funds on Monday, November 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the Rockford campus.

The Brovember US Student Research Fund will provide support for student medical research on prostate cancer at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

The Brovember US Student Research Scholarship Fund will establish an endowment to provide scholarships for students who are conducting prostate cancer research under the guidance of faculty in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford.

Money raised by various events including the Brovember Beard-a-Thon will fund local cancer research at the College of Medicine at Rockford.

Brovember, Inc. is a non- profit organization founded and incorporated in Rockford, Illinois, to promote the awareness of men's cancer issues and to raise funds to help local healthcare organizations and other worthwhile causes in our community. The organization's efforts have expanded in supporting and providing access to the local cancer initiatives that provide the needed resources in our community.
