Dr. Kalachandran joins Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program faculty

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford welcomes Sallini Kalachandran, MD, as an assistant professor of clinical family medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Dr. Kalachandran is a graduate of Saba University School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at UICOMR Family Medicine Residency Program and was chief resident in 2021. She is also a family medicine physician at Mile Square Health Center-L.P. Johnson Rockford.

“We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Kalachandran join our residency program faculty,” says Joseph Garry, MD, head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. “Her leadership and teaching as co-chief resident demonstrated her passion for family medicine and medical education. She’s a great addition to the faculty.”

Dr. Kalachandran is board-certified in family medicine and has special interest in medical education and hospital medicine.
