Faculty Receive Golden Apple Teaching Awards

Graduating medical students from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford, 1601 Parkview Ave., recently recognized four faculty members with Golden Apple Faculty Teaching Awards.
Gary L. Anderson, MD, received the Golden Apple Faculty Teaching Award for M2 Year Excellence in Teaching. He recently retired as chair of the Department of Pathology and associate professor of clinical pathology.
Errol C. Baptist, MD, received the Golden Apple Faculty Teaching Award for the M3 Year Excellence in Clinical Clerkship. He is a clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics.
Geoffrey Tsaras, MD, received the Golden Apple Faculty Teaching Award for the M4 Year Excellence in Clinical Clerkship. He is an assistant professor of clinical medicine in the Department of Medicine and Medical Specialties.
Christopher C. Gianvecchio, MD, received the Golden Apple Faculty Teaching Award for Primary Care Experience. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics.
