Jeff Tilly is the new director of facilities management at the UIC Health Sciences Campus-Rockford. His first day is Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
He replaces Chris Berndt, who retired in May.
In his new role, Tilly will oversee all aspects of maintenance, operation and development of facilities at the UIC Health Sciences Campus-Rockford. He’ll ensure that that the campus facilities are well-maintained, and offer a safe and productive work environment for students, staff, faculty and guests. He’ll also ensure compliance with various codes and regulations.
Prior to coming to UICOMR, he was director of facilities at Sodexo Inc., in Elk Grove Village, where he oversaw the day-to-day operation of the ADP Elk Grove Village facility office space, printing operations, data center and warehouse activities and remote support of offsite ADP facilities. He also conducted routine inspections of facility grounds, buildings, landscaping and faculty equipment to for compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

Tilly has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and he earned the designation of Facility Management Professional with the International Facility Management Association, a membership organization designed for facility management professionals.
