Lincoln Johnson earns James E. Rebel Award

Rebel Award

Lincoln Johnson, MD, received the James E. Rebel Award during the 2024 Convocation Ceremony. He was chosen by his classmates for his dedication and enthusiasm for learning medicine and personal sensitivity towards patients, fellow students and others.

Those traits are exemplified by the late James E. Rebel, a member of the charter class, who died in a car accident during his senior year.

“Lincoln spends so much time fully learning material and practicing skills to provide the highest level of care for his patients,” one of his classmates, who nominated him, says. “He does this while also being sensitive to patients’ needs and providing great bedside care.”

This award is presented at the annual Convocation Ceremony and is a surprise to the winner.
