Managing Chronic Conditions Topic of UI Health Program

The UI Health L.P. Johnson Family Health Center will offer a free community seminar for the public on Wednesday, December 5, at 5 p.m. “Managing Your Chronic Condition” will be presented by Inis J. Bardella, MD, in the lower-level conference room at 1221 E. State St.

 

Dr. Bardella is an attending physician at the UI Health L.P. Johnson Family Health Center and a University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford professor of family and community medicine. She will discuss tips for people with conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, depression and high blood pressure so that they can improve their quality of life. She’ll also talk about how to identify when symptoms are worsening, when to call your doctor and how to avoid emergency room visits.
