Med student presents in Rome
University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford’s third year medical student Ijeoma Agu was chosen to present her research at the Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Congress in Rome, Italy, September 5-8, 2015. Her research presentation was entitled, ”Sickle Cell Patients Experience Delay in Analgesic Administration with Respect to National Guidelines Despite Severity of Presentation,” which she presented along with Dr. Joseph Colla of the Emergency Medicine Department at UIC’s Chicago campus. Ijeoma is a College of Medicine Urban Health Program (COM-UHP) student and received support to attend this international conference from both COM-UHP and the Rockford Medical Student Research Presentation Fund.
