Master of Science in Medical Biotechnology Program graduating classes of 2022 and 2023 gather onstage of the Coronado Performing Arts Center after Sunday's graduation ceremony.
The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford’s Master of Science in Medical Biotechnology Program presented a number of awards to students, staff and faculty during the Graduation Ceremony for the Classes of 2022 and 2023 on Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Coronado Performing Arts Center in downtown Rockford.
Student awards were presented in a number of categories to the following individuals:
- Academic Excellence Award went to Tejashri Jadhav, Rifika Jain, Leah Moses and Aayush Rastogi.
- Research Innovation Award went to Suridh Chakravarty, Sushma Janjam and Saundarya Prithweeraj.
- Outstanding Research Award went to Rifika Jain, Sowmya Gurusamy Kamaraj, Samuel Christopher Katru, Shivani Anil Navalakha and Oluwatosin Oladejo.
- Outstanding Service Award went to Nishtha Pathak.
- Outstanding Teaching Award went to Apurva Oke, Meet Patel, Sahana Somaiah, Priyadharshini Vijayakumar and Maria Vologzhina.
- Thermo Fisher Scientific Overall Achievement Award went to Meet Patel.
Faculty and staff awards were given in the following categories to these individuals:
- Excellence in Teaching Award 2022 went to Colin Eversmann, MDiv, ThM.
- Excellence in Teaching Award 2022 went to Aoshuang Chen, PhD.
- Research Mentor Award 2022 went to Neelu Puri, PhD.
- Research Mentor Award 2023 went to Divya Bijukumar, PhD, and Neeraja Revi, PhD.
- Outstanding Service Award 2022 went to Laura Sykaluk.
- Outstanding Service Award 2023 went to Joe Berns.
