Dean Alex Stagnaro-Green
Alex Stagnaro-Green, MD, MHPE, MHA, announced today that he will be stepping down as regional dean of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford in January 2026.
Dean Stagnaro-Green started his position as regional dean in March 2014. He plans to stay in this role during the search process for a new dean with the goal of a smooth transition to new leadership.
“Over the next 14 months, I plan to continue supporting the excellent education, research and clinical operations of the College of Medicine Rockford,” says Stagnaro-Green. “It has been, and continues to be, an incredible honor to lead our College of Medicine.”
A plan for a search committee for the new dean will be forthcoming.
