About
Dr. Verzal is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago. She completed her residency in family medicine at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla., where she was chief resident and then became a faculty member in that program. Board-certified in family medicine, she became an associate program director and was responsible for administrative, curricular, faculty development and teaching activities for the residency program in addition to maintaining a clinical practice. She also went on to join the faculty of Florida State University as a clinical assistant professor and taught medical students in that program. Most recently, she practiced family medicine in Algonquin, Ill.
Special interests include hospital-based medicine and care of the entire family.
