Students, staff, faculty and the community are invited to hear some health tips and then take a walk at Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve located at 5360 S. Mulford Rd, Cherry Valley, IL 61016. Meet at Indian Rest shelter house at Mulford entrance.
Two (2) mile or four (4) mile walk: A relaxing out-and-back walk on the paved recreation path along the Kishwaukee River. Easy walking with some moderate inclines. Leashed dogs welcome.
The beautiful and healthy Kishwaukee River make this 629-acre preserve a favorite. Whether you want to enjoy the flowing stream as you hike, bike, jog or push a stroller on the paved path. An ideal spot to enjoy woods, river, wildflowers and migrating birds.
