College of Medicine Rockford welcomes new director of development

Rob Grady

Rob Grady is the new director of development for UICOMR as of Jan. 8. In this role, Grady will be joining the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM) Advancement Team with an assignment to raise philanthropic support for the UICOMR mission. Grady will focus on building and stewarding relationships to create meaningful engagement and philanthropic opportunities for prospective partners. He will collaborate with his UICOM advancement colleagues to leverage the team’s resources for alumni relations, donor relations, events, and corporate and foundation relations.

Grady’s office will be on the Rockford campus where he will collaborate with the regional dean and senior leaders.

Grady’s previous fundraising experience includes serving as a director of development for The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Medical Center and as senior director of corporate partnerships for the American Cancer Society. He also has experience as a business and sports executive. He has a journalism degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts.
