About
Dr. Liao completed her residency at University of Illinois College of Medicine Family Medicine Residency in Rockford Illinois, where she was a chief resident and stayed as an assistant professor and associate director after residency. Dr. Liao is passionate about medical education, simulation, women's health and obstetrics. She led and designed the “Structured Training for Rural Enhancement of Community Health in Obstetrics” (STRETCH-OB) tract, a compact curriculum for residents to gain experience in high-risk and surgical obstetrics during their three-year residency. The goal is to equip residents with a strong set of family medicine and surgical obstetrics skills for practice in a rural or underserved community.
