About
Monaghan joined the College of Medicine Rockford in 2012 where she worked as the nurse manager at the Mile Square Health Center – L.P. Johnson Rockford. In the fall of 2020, the Department of Family and Community Medicine identified several opportunities in which educational programs and employee health services could utilize her unique skill set. Her role as clinical educator focused on improving the educational programs and clinical skills training in the area of obstetrics.
Her extensive women's health and obstetrical nursing experience provides a valuable learning opportunity for medical students.
In addition, Monaghan acts as an extension of University Health Services. She provides clinical oversight for pre-employment health screenings for new clinical providers and staff .
