About
Vicki Weidenbacher-Hoper is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She went on to earn a master’s degree in social work and a certificate in public health from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Prior to her work at the college, she spent seven years working at the Winnebago County Health Department supervising several maternal child health programs.
Over her twenty plus years of service to the college, she has worked as the assistant director of external and pipeline projects for the National Center for Rural Health Professions, grants development specialist for the Office of Research, and clinical associate for the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
In her current role as associate director of community engagement and development, she is responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive community engagement plan for the Department of Family and Community Medicine to positively impact health and wellness of the residents in the northern Illinois region.
