Mental Health Services
- UIC Chicago Counseling Center – All UIC students, regardless of their physical location, are eligible for Counseling Center workshops and our peer-led support groups. We have also expanded our online presence make more mental health resources accessible online, including topical e-newsletters, meditation videos, suicide prevention and education materials, and even a new self-care app.

- Help Yourself. Help Others. Everyone experiences stress, sadness, and anxiety from time to time-it’s part of life. But if you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or unable to do the things you once enjoyed, it may be time to assess your emotional health. If you are concerned about yourself or someone you love, take a few minutes to complete an anonymous self-assessment.
- Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
- Palouse Mindfulness is a free 8-week online course, created by a certified MBSR instructor, based on the program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
- Moodkit is an app developed by psychologists to help improve mood.
- Calm is an app that focuses on sleep, meditation, and relaxation.
