Headache Medicine Doctors

The UICOMR Department of Family and Community Medicine headache medicine doctors include the fellowship's program director and up to one fellow annually.

Sarah E. Robertson, MD, clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford, was the first fellow of the program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Valparaiso University, in Valparaiso, Ind. and also earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Queensland School of Medicine, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and UQ-Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans, La. She completed a family medicine residency at the Mercyhealth Graduate Medical Education Consortium in Rockford.

Matthew Aue, MD, was the second fellow in the Headache Medicine Fellowship Program. He also works as a family medicine physician at UW Health SwedishAmerican in Rockford. Dr. Aue received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, in Barbados and then attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program where he completed his residency.
