Enhance the education and training of UIC students, including those in medical, nursing and pharmacy programs, as well as healthcare professionals such as residents, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral scholars, through the utilization of the simulation center.

Health Care Systems Improvement
Enhance care delivery and operational outcomes throughout Rockford by sharpening healthcare personnel’s individual and teamwork skills.

Assessment/Testing
Harness immersive and simulation-based learning techniques to conduct precise assessments and testing of the skills, knowledge and performance of students, trainees and experienced personnel.

Research
Foster, bolster and conduct fundamental research and evaluation of simulation-based learning, utilizing immersive and simulation-based learning techniques as invaluable research tools.

Provide Immersive Learning to External Experienced Clinicians

Improve the clinical skills (both “technical” and “non-technical”) of healthcare personnel, as individuals and in teams, through immersive and simulation-based learning techniques.

Community Outreach

Develop and execute outreach programs tailored for local community members, lay groups, public safety organizations, public health entities, and healthcare providers. These initiatives aim to illuminate the benefits and potential of immersive and simulation-based learning techniques.
